General Acute Care Hospitals (GACH)

Atlantic's experience in both operating and building GACH’s that provide the full spectrum of acute care, offers physicians a one source solution for their hospital master plan. By designing the facility around the needs of the physician group, the community, expanding technology and future growth, Atlantic is able to provide our partners with a facility that will perform despite any surrounding economic and operational conditions.

In addition, Atlantic's experience in dealing with GACH operating
conditions will lead to a facility designed to resolve issues from the
inception of operations. Extensive lengths of stay, an emergency
department without a fast track system for non-emergent patients,
and poor technology have lead to GACH’s underperforming. Atlantic
maintains development relationships with rehabilitation and long
term acute care hospital companies that provide a solution to
excessive lengths of stay. During the feasibility period, if we
determine that our emergency department may provide relief to an
overburdened clinic or other community hospital, Atlantic will provide
an emergent clinic close to the GACH assisting in the relief of
non-emergent patients from within the emergency room.

As we all know the demand for qualified nurses, appropriate medical
supply and implant usage, and ancillary services are all significant
operational issues. By implementing labor productivity standards,
appropriate staffing based on projected volumes, real time inventory
for medical supplies/implants, we establish best practices that
significantly reduce these issues. Lastly, we provide physician
partners with a global solution for all operational conditions and a hospital master plan to accommodate office needs and future growth.
